João Mendes Ribeiro

João Mendes Ribeiro graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Oporto, and taught there between 1989 and 1991.
He has received many awards, such as the Architecti Prize of 1997 and 2000, Lisbon and in 2001 and 2005 he was nominated for the Mies Van Der Rohe Award, Barcelona.Since 1991 he has been teaching Architectural Design in the Department of Architecture, University of Coimbra, where he assisted the Professor Architect Fernando Távora, between 1991 and 1998.
