Architecture Research Office (ARO)

Established by Stephen Cassell and Adam Yarinsky in 1993. Current projects include a War Remembrance Memorial at Columbia University and a competition to design a Museum of Art and Technology in New York. Recently completed the US Armed Forces Recruiting Station in Times Square and houses in Colorado and New Jersey.
Cassell received BArch from Princeton University and MArch from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard. Taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and GSD. In 1998, he received a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts to study the relationship between computer-aided design and manufacturing technology and craft.
Yarinsky received his undergraduate degree in architecture from the University of Virginia and MArch from Princeton University. Served as the Sanders teaching fellow at the University of Michigan and has also taught at the University of Virginia School of Architecture, Yale University, and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
