This is an atelier-cum-residence for a couple whose work involves art and design. The large space with steps facing the verandah functions as a common atelier, as well as a space for greeting visitors. Named “Studio Steps”, this open place is used as a place for researching and discussing art, music, and theater. The first and second floors of the white box in the center of the steps form the study and work areas for the couple. Their private places of kitchen, dining and bedroom are arranged beneath the atelier in a space that is relatively closed in contrast to the openness of the main space.
